The courage to be a delightful person

Courage refers to a ‘push from inside you’. Although I have never liked definitions of words, I do believe and experience that courage is a word without boundaries. However, to leap into the future, and getting creatively involved in a much more fulfilling life, you need courage. I have developed my courage through belief: a belief in my heart that something can be done and something can happen.
That something has to be specific!

Today I am focusing on being a delightful woman – I’m talking about being happy and joyful, in the face of adversity and obstacles. So firstly, know that no other person or event is responsible for your happiness or being a delightful person.  Your first victory will come when you decide to take the responsibility for finding happiness and living life in delightful ways.
Do you know how the world needs more delightful people?

It takes courage today to be delightful. It may even mean that not everybody will like you! They may be very jealous and try their uttermost best to take your joy away! But remember – the world needs more delightful people!

I would love you to understand that this attitude calls for mental changes, emotional changes, creative changes and a host of other changes, where you are the author and designer of the outcomes. And this again, calls for courage! Believe me, just too many people are great at exploring the outer world, but very poor at exploring their own inner space – there where wisdom, peace and vitality dwell in abundance. A person can only make it his own, if he uses his/her mind and heart, and yes, the body’s wisdom!

Has it ever occurred to you that God wants you to be happy? He delights in you when you are a lovely ‘fragrance’ in your environment and my experience is that He showers me with blessings when I radiate His goodness to those around me.

And here is the ‘but’ in the story: ‘You have to use your mind and heart to really, really reap the rewards of what courage can do for you. I am adamant in saying: ‘Please upgrade the way you think about yourself.

Please upgrade the way you feel about yourself, and please have another look at how wonderfully you are made, and realize that happiness, joy and being delightful is possible when you apply courage!’

Looking to your future, you have to believe that you are equipped to do and be whatever you want to do and be. Songs are being written about happiness. Articles by the thousands are published about it, but not enough about being delightful.

Once you decide that you would like to be courageous enough to be a delightful person, real physical changes will take place in your body. Your brain will provide you with ideas, your heart will inspire you with wonderful feelings and your body’s wisdom will demonstrate to you all kinds of fabulous messages!
Here we go!
You are not alone. You have your fellow pilgrims in this journey, believing with you and wishing you loads of delight and fulfilment every day!

The COURAGE to be a passionate person!

There is so much magic in passion!

Like so many other attributes of a creative woman, passion also needs the courage to believe in your inborn qualities and extra-ordinary capacity to CREATE it in your personal life!

So let me begin by trying to tell you what passion is. This will assist you in searching your soul and talking to your heart, about making it happen in your life:
  • Passion is energy and enthusiasm wedded into a sense of purpose that gives life and meaning to any event you like or want to enjoy;
  • Passion is a super-strong, positive vibe coming from your inner being, making you feel alive and alert;
  • Passion is that extra dimension in your personality that sets off the dreariness of another day and drive you forward with courage and confidence.
It is scientifically accurate that your brain’s natural opiates are set off by stimuli as diverse as pain, exercise, music, meditation, dancing and dinner – and a host of emotional and mental experiences. What’s in your head can at times be 20 to 30 times stronger than drugs, such as morphine.

Let’s take another glimpse into your brain: There are receptor sites for opium (YES, opium) in the brain cell. Doesn’t it make you ‘stand still’ and breathe this astonishing truth in to your very being? Doesn’t it also make you curious as to why you are created like this and WHY the brain cell has this receptor site to receive ‘drugs’?

Apart from my studies and lots of research on the brain, common sense tells me that somehow, for SOME good reasons, we are able to produce our own ‘opium-like substances’ to help us when life gets tough!

Yes, some serious brain chemistry happen between your ears and the seriousness of the truth of this, doesn’t really GET into the minds and hearts of people!

It is your responsibility to use this chemistry to your own advancement and also to the advancement of others in our life.

Let me link passion to LOVE. It has been said that when you are in love, it shows.

This is not just true about loving your soul mate. It’s also true about loving your life! There is an energy that shines through you that money cannot buy and everybody needs!

I recently returned from the EQ Global Summit, held in Cape Town and together with others experts, explored once again the value and fun of falling in love with the creative qualities inside all of us.

The question is: Have you ever fallen in love with it!?

If you want the glow, that passion that lifts up others in your life, do yourself a favor and discover what’s happening in your brain. Explore the possibilities and make things happen. It starts in the mind!

It may only be a little less exciting than falling in love with your partner. It begins somewhere in the head and the heart. It keeps moving and behaves like molten steel, the shape is forming very quickly and, once cool, is hard to change.

Like a dizzy spell, you can’t tell how much time it took out of your day – however – it leaves you with a perfectly clear image of what is possible!

Now that you have a better understanding of passion, I trust that you will re-read the meaning of it and create quiet times to explore on how you utilize this magical workings in your brain.

It is YOUR brain.

Only YOU can truly manage its workings!
