The COURAGE to be a passionate person!

There is so much magic in passion!

Like so many other attributes of a creative woman, passion also needs the courage to believe in your inborn qualities and extra-ordinary capacity to CREATE it in your personal life!

So let me begin by trying to tell you what passion is. This will assist you in searching your soul and talking to your heart, about making it happen in your life:
  • Passion is energy and enthusiasm wedded into a sense of purpose that gives life and meaning to any event you like or want to enjoy;
  • Passion is a super-strong, positive vibe coming from your inner being, making you feel alive and alert;
  • Passion is that extra dimension in your personality that sets off the dreariness of another day and drive you forward with courage and confidence.
It is scientifically accurate that your brain’s natural opiates are set off by stimuli as diverse as pain, exercise, music, meditation, dancing and dinner – and a host of emotional and mental experiences. What’s in your head can at times be 20 to 30 times stronger than drugs, such as morphine.

Let’s take another glimpse into your brain: There are receptor sites for opium (YES, opium) in the brain cell. Doesn’t it make you ‘stand still’ and breathe this astonishing truth in to your very being? Doesn’t it also make you curious as to why you are created like this and WHY the brain cell has this receptor site to receive ‘drugs’?

Apart from my studies and lots of research on the brain, common sense tells me that somehow, for SOME good reasons, we are able to produce our own ‘opium-like substances’ to help us when life gets tough!

Yes, some serious brain chemistry happen between your ears and the seriousness of the truth of this, doesn’t really GET into the minds and hearts of people!

It is your responsibility to use this chemistry to your own advancement and also to the advancement of others in our life.

Let me link passion to LOVE. It has been said that when you are in love, it shows.

This is not just true about loving your soul mate. It’s also true about loving your life! There is an energy that shines through you that money cannot buy and everybody needs!

I recently returned from the EQ Global Summit, held in Cape Town and together with others experts, explored once again the value and fun of falling in love with the creative qualities inside all of us.

The question is: Have you ever fallen in love with it!?

If you want the glow, that passion that lifts up others in your life, do yourself a favor and discover what’s happening in your brain. Explore the possibilities and make things happen. It starts in the mind!

It may only be a little less exciting than falling in love with your partner. It begins somewhere in the head and the heart. It keeps moving and behaves like molten steel, the shape is forming very quickly and, once cool, is hard to change.

Like a dizzy spell, you can’t tell how much time it took out of your day – however – it leaves you with a perfectly clear image of what is possible!

Now that you have a better understanding of passion, I trust that you will re-read the meaning of it and create quiet times to explore on how you utilize this magical workings in your brain.

It is YOUR brain.

Only YOU can truly manage its workings!
